thanks for the reply! why no? Too little penetration? I'm worried about over penetration. Is 55 gr. fmj still the best?

I think 55gr fmjbt w/c is an outstanding defensive round.  I would be interested to see how the frangible ammo would do in a gel test.  It's not designed for defense, but I would guess it would leave a nasty but shallow wound.

Thanks brouhaha, I should have be more specific.I was wondering which round would be best for short range self defense.I live on a mountain hwy, with houses@ 3&9 oclock. Nothing but trees for 10s of miles @ 12 & 6 oclock.
