I wanted to get some ARFCOMers' opinions on the following:

Northwest Reloading Supply is selling a case of 1200 rounds of IMI M855 green tip for $340 + $17.93 shipping.

Would anyone be willing to pay such a price for this ammo??? I know Botach use to sell this ammo or $249 with free shipping. But they have been out of stock for what seems to be forever.

I feel like a sucker for even considering buying this stuff at such an outrageous price. What do you guys think.... insane purchase, or suck it up and buy?

There was a great deal in EE for M885 like load .15/round - new manufacture = $150.00

The ammoman is selling Lake City M855 For $219/1000 rounds shipped or XM193 for $199/1000 shipped.

I sent you an IM.

However, for the benefit of others here, I got the case at a recent (last weekend) machinegun shoot in Camden, TN.

Wideners was the main distributor for IMI M855, but now only carry components. There is always Botach, but their service is hit and miss. They don't currently list M855 on their website though.

This ammo is getting harder to find. Our local gun shows do sometimes have it and I'll usually pay between $230 and $250 for a 1200-round case.

IMI M855 is my personal favorite ammunition. I have never had a single with IMI ammunition. Having said that, I would not pay almost $360 for a 1200 round case. I usually wait for Botach to have a sale and stock up. I know guys have had problems with Botch in the past, but they hasve never screwe up one of my ammo purchases. I picked up my last few cases for under $200 shipped. Northwest is jacking the price up way to much.
