Troy has written his test results of his headspace tests of Olympic's "M193". Great thread www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=201684

A few months back I purchased 2k rnds of '01 head stamped "SS109" Green Tip Olympic, from Sportsmen's Guide. 50rnd ct. per box. I will never shoot this ammuntion.

If someone, or Troy is willing to headspace 100-200rnds of this stuff, I will cover shipping and the ammo is free. The only thing I ask is that you be able to post pics and results like what was done in Troy's thread. Fair enough?

If this has already been covered, I apologize and disregard this thread.

If you look on page 2 of Troys thread, you'll see the gauge that I'm going to use to measure some Olympic M193 ammo that Troy is sending me.

If you want me to measure some of your ammo on that gauge, I'd be happy to...

I'm not interested in shooting this ammo either.

Drop me an IM if your interested.

Larry,

Where can I get a cool gauge like that?

Robert,

It's RCBS and probably availible at the same places than you would buy reloading dies.
I'm pretty sure Wideners has them, about $35 I think. It's called a precision mic.

newbushmaster, despite what's listed on the SG website, call them!
out of 250rnds I ordered, I had NOW 57 rounds I will not use (due to case spec'ing
with the gage).  I called SG and at 1st the gal told me they will accept ammo returns, and it was OK for me to box it up and return to their 'armory'.  I stated I was willing to send them the 57 rounds I knew were out of spec, but not the whole lot.  I was then told to properly dispose them and they gave me $15 credit...which was actually a $15 discount coupon, only NO minimum
purchase.  Being a SG member, and using the 'coupon' ...I have a case of Lake City XM193
enroute for less than $90 shipped, and still kept the 193 good SS109's.
do what you want, but just my $.02
