Natchez states that the add is a misprint. IMI is not associated with the ammo.

only seen bad reviews on this site. i have shot 1500 .38spl rds with 3 fte's. no other problems except my snub looks like i store it in my chimney after a day at the range..

I believe that IMI is selling Amerc components for at least some of their stuff... but IIRC its still assembled into cartridges here in the US... in Florida IIRC. I dont shoot the stuff.

American Ammunition (www.a-merc.com) sends me one of the flyers because I have an FFL. The list Catalog # A223127 as 55 gr FMJ from IMI. MY dealer cost is $2.40/box of 20 and shipping is free if I order $500 or more. $2.80/box of 20 is not bad IMHO.

IME, A-MERC ammo in any guise is CRAP. Their brass tends to be weak/brittle; I've had split cases in the pistol calibers I've tried, and that's shooting it as "factory" ammo! Whenever I come across that headstamp in my range-pickup brass, I toss 'em.

I've had nothing but problems with this ammo and finally just realized that it was in fact American Ammo dropping primers into my trigger assembly.

Amerc/IMI,
The only thing IMI, is the projectile,and only for the 55 gr FMJ and 62 gr SS109, The rest is Amerc brass, primer, and powder. The 62 gr is almost unavilable due to large State Dept contracts for Columbia. Amerc has a lot of new machines and some tech help from IMI but with all the large goverment contracts don't count on seeing the improvement on the civilian side. It's a good news bad news situation the good news they are getting their act together the bad news is it hasn't reached the civilian market. I have 100 rds of the 55 gr to test but I haven't had time. Mike |

Me and some buddies bought A-merc .223, .45 ACP & 9mm. We were less than impressed with the quality of the ammo. I had a few FTEx, but that was during the time when I was new to my Glock so it could have been limp wristing. I will add though that I had no failures with the Winchester white box ball ammo that I shot the same day. IMO you get what you pay for in this case.

I got 500 from a local shop, no troubles yet, 300 down 200 to go. $70 500 rds.

I've run probably 500-600 rounds through my M16 with no problems at all. Seems to work for me.
