Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - BHA 73 Gr. Berger (What Type of Round Is This?)

At a local gun store they have some of the Black Hills 73 gr berger ammo... I was just wondering what type of ammo this is...

Is it a complete match round... or does it fragment at all?   I'm curious because I have a 1x9 twist 16" barrel... and if i'm unable to stabilize a 75gr... i was wondering if the 73gr round could be a possiblity for a self defense round...

does it have a long or short neck?  Does this round relate closely to match king bullets?  Thanks!

It is a match round and will give quite good terminal performance (fragmentation) as well.  Perhaps not *quite* as good as the 75-77gr OTM ammo, but as good or better than the 68/69gr ammo.
