It looks like MidwayUSA has given a date for the release of Remington's 6.8spc.
"Date Expected In-Stock: 9/15/2004"

I got the 16" flattop with the gas block.
The quality seems good...I should have a better idea how I like it after 9/15/2004 Well...the gas block is a bit chunky...but, the price was right!

Back in Feb, Midway was listing 6.8 brass and loaded ammo, with an ETA of something like June or July.

B-Splat,

I guess you haven't been checking the midway website for the last 3 months. I have. The 6.8 ammo is consistently expected in stock one month from the current date on case quantities and TWO months out on individual boxes. It changes every one to two days. Sorry for the bad news, although I hope it does get here in september.

I was able to come across two boxes of preproduction ammo. It shoots about 1moa out of my model 1 upper. I've also resorted to reforming 30 rem brass, it works ok so far. I'm still working up the load. If you have any questions email me.

I've been checking in on their site periodically...I saw that it was "coming soon", but I didn't see any actual release date until a few days ago. I must remember to pull my head out occasionally for fresh air. htAnyway...

Edit: HA! you're right, now its "Date Expected In-Stock: 9/17/2004"
