What is the velocity of Winchester white box 45gr JHP out of 11.5", 16", 18" and 20" bbl lengths?

What is the max distances the rnd can be used and still fragment out of an 11.5" bbl setup? Thank you.

If this information is on the site somewhere, I apologize for overlooking it.

The box says 3600 FPS! Isn't that good enough for you?  [;)]

For velocities from your rifle w/ your rounds, you'll need your own chronagraph..... this may help.

There's an Ammo Faq, tacked to the top of the ammunition forum, www.ammo-oracle.com, that'll answer the 11.5" question precisely, IIRC it's about 70-80 yard/mtrs.

Apology accepted, [s]welcome aboard[/s]...., duuhhh, where ya been for the last 1700 posts?

The box does say 3,600fps, but not from a bbl length of 11.5". I have looked over the Oracle every time someone posts it to look for updates.

Going by what I have seen, the expected muzzle velocity should range around the area of 2,900fps +/-. Fragmenting out to -100Yrds.

Didn't care much about the ballistics of the AR15 until my brother asked me a few questions I couldn't answer. [:D]

I was getting around 2900 consistantly with 11.5inch barrel and 45gr winchester HP until I shot my Chrony. [:(][banghead][noclue]

It is very accurate also out of my 11.5.

I suspect fragmentation(explosion) to be very consistance at much more than 100 yds (or at very low velocities).

These bullets are designed for shallow penetration and explosive fragmentation. These bullets will not follow FMJ rules.
