Saw folks asking for these...

Big lots but the price seems good.

That is a GREAT price for that stuff!

The Club price will save you a penny a round.

Any time you see SA ammo for 13 cents a round, buy as much as you can!

A "GREAT" price was having it delivered to my door for for $280 last year.

I meant, GREAT price now.  It can't be found for a dime a round like last year.

Is SA in the same class as M193?  Is it a reliable self-defense round, or is it just a good plinker?  TIA

Are they still taking pre-orders on these or is it too late?

When S&H is added, the cost per round is 15.5 cents (($379.97+18.99+20.00)/2700).  That's only 2.5 cent less than the freshly made Q3131A.  Not so much a bargain anymore.

I looked at it and they wanted a minimum 2700 rounds shipment for $379 ($361 club) and it will not be available for shipping until approx 9-22.  There is a $20 "heavy item" sub charge plus there is shipping on about 70 pounds.   2700 rounds is a bit more than I want of 20+ year old ammo.

FWIW i've put probably that much through my ARs with not a single malfunction that wasn't mag related.  Its fairly accurate, no more dirtier than anything else i've shot, and reliable.  I have no idea what the age is of the SA i've shot.

They had it available by the battle packs for awhile, but the preorders kinda swamped them, so they switched to the tubs.  It was a lot cheaper to ship if you ordered it by the battlepack too...  My crew got 1200 rnds apiece before they started only offering it by the tub.  With shipping came out to .14/ round.  Not as cheap as it used to be, but not too bad either.  You could get the winchester usa just about as cheap from bass pro shops with the special they've been running, and it is newly manufactured and reloadable.

I was going to order 2 tubs but for that price they can keep it. What a shame it was such a good deal last year.

What a tease.  I can't afford a tub!  I just want a couple battle packs!!
