Yes. In fact, "Hell Yes" would be in order.

GLB's have a verry diffrent burn rate than blanks. Firing a rifle grenade with a blank is not wise.

I have also read that while the grenade blanks have more powder, it is slower burning than standard blanks and as a result grenade blanks don't produce as high of a pressure spike.  That said, there was a guy who had posted on another forum his experiences with firing dummy/training rifle grenades with standard blanks in a FR-8.  Said that the kick was low enough he could fire the grenades from the shoulder and that they would go about 50 yds or so.  

One other thing is that different countries produce both standard and grenade blanks with differing levels of pressure.  I don't believe there are stanag/nato specs on this sort of ammunition.
