Hello folks,
I bought some Norinco .223 ammo in a yellow box from a friend. My question is in order to reload this ammo does the primers pockets have a crimp ring that needs to removed or is it like standard .223 brass? Thanks for any help.

It appears the Norinco I have here in front of me (1993) does indeed have a crimped primer, be it a bit less thick than those used on Lake City or IMI brass. I would be cautious with used Norinco brass and check it very carefully to make sure it is suitable for use again. I don't mind shooting the factory Norinco in a plinker Mini-14 I have, but honestly, the stuff isn't exactly high quality and I don't know how good the brass is. Just be sure to look it all over really well before using it.
