Frankly, I doubt it. People were laughing 6 years ago when I said that surplus .30-06 was virtually gone. (They also laughed when I said the surplus SA battlepacks would dry up.) Well, yeah, you can still find some occasionally, but the price for it approaches new, factory ammo.
The reason for all of this cheap surplus is because many countries have converted their military over to 5.56mm, and are dumping the "obsolete" 7.62NATO ammo on our surplus market. But the supply of that ammo is finite, and it isn't like they're making more of it; most countries stopped production in the 80s.
We're coming to the end of the cheap surplus .308. As always happens, most of the best stuff goes first, and more and more, you start seeing the junk (such as those Indian .308 lots that should have been BURNED). I'd recommend buying all you want now, because a few years from now, your choices will be either crappy, degraded surplus at prices higher than today's, or $8/20-rounds of new ammo.
