Ok-  I know that the new heavier 75/77gr.'s are performing farther out than the 55/62gr. variants in M4's w/ 1/7 twists.  But that would get expensive to shoot all the time, and also might not always be available.  How would the 55 and 62 gr's do in a 1/7" twist 14.5".  Would the combo degrade their performance?
Is it a win win situation or win lose?

Both work fine in 1/7 (hey the military use their M855 in 1:7 exclusively).  There is a small change in the point of impact if you don't rezero.

Some people say the 55gr isn't as accurate in a 1:7 as it is in 1:9 or 1:12.  In my experiance that is highly dependant on the load used & rifle in question (not to mention the operator).  In all cases it was accurate enough for any defensive use.

All I can say is that Ammo Oracle states you can spin a bullet too fast for it's weight and throw off it's accuracy.  I would think 55 grain is a little light for 1/7

1:7 works fine with M193

IT is not over spun.

Thank you all for taking the time.  I'm not always able to post replies, but, I always check them.  Any other advice/info's appreciated.
