You can shoot both 5.56mm and .223 Rem in a Wylde chamber. If you are really worried, buy a couple of boxes to try out. I don't suspect you will have problems at all with LC ammo.

To be honist I'm lost when it comes to what the technical differences are and how they affect the firearm. I just want to be safe. Thanks The .223 Wylde chamber was designed, if I'm not mistaken, to give a shorter throat than the 5.56mm NATO chamber, but still long enough to shoot mil-spec ammo. The idea was to make the jump to the lands shorter to help increase accuracy without jacking up pressure with the hotter military ammo. You should be fine. |
