Hi guys, any recs for decent, cheap .45 ACP ammo?  I just bought a Kimber Custom II.  Now my collection looks like this:
Bushmaster A2 20inch, Kimber .45, S&W 66, Taurus 85, Iver Johnson Super Sealed 8(1929), Kel-Tec P32, Springfield XD9, Ruger 10/22, Sears .22 (1927), Lefever SxS 12ga. (1905?) And about a dozen others.

I like the Fiocchi from www.ammoman.com

If you don't plan to reload, CCI has given me great results. If you do plan to reload, S&B is fairly inexpensive. It's also sealed for long term storage.

Ditto re: the Fiocchi from Ammoman.  My Kimber Custom II has digested approx. 1000 rds of it, no problems.

Randy

My Kimber Gold Match is such a great gun it will cycle anything.  Use -800 fps target rounds which I load and have fired approx 400 rounds with the stock spring.  It likes higher power loads also.

Has anyone shot this MFS stuff? I'm thinkin' when you consider what we've paid for the gun-how cheap is too cheap?

Good question, surely it is one to ponder.  Have any of my fellow members tried the Wolf?  I'm wondering how that is.  I don't think that the mild steel case will be too much of an issue, as the US issued steel cased .45 ACP ammo in the past.

First. Cheap is for plinking .Don't trust you'r life to cheap ammo. Wolf is a great value but very under powered. You can get US GI but its usually mildly corrosive. S&B & fiocci are good plinking/value choices. For self defense in my Sig 220 I carry Aguila .45 IQ.

Where are you buying?  What are you paying? Ammoman seems to be the best price for Fiocci.

Most recent Wolf .45, Centerfire Systems $99.97 w/free ship on the case purchase.
WWII US GI 230Gr. (Nice & Hot)& mildly corrosive. $80 per. 750 rnd. case Also Centerfire systems I have more on order right now.
The Aguila I have to special order out of Texas. It's pricey at $8 or 9 per. 25 rnd box. But I really like the IQ round. It's hot, accurate, and frangible. In 27 years of shooting .45's this the best defense round I've seen so far. (IMO)
