Sorry for this stupid question, but I tried a search for this but came up with nothing although I am sure this is an old topic.  I am looking for some reasonable priced ammo for home defense use, such as a hollow point or soft point.  I have thought about the the Winchchester power points, but I don't know if I want to spend $12-$15 for 20 when I can't fill a whole mag.  I have looked at the Winchester 45 grn hollow points ($11 at Wally World for 40.) Does anyone know how effective these would be in a home setting?  I would really hate to put little .223 holes into my neighbors home while trying to eliminate any pesky burglars.
