anyone shot any of this stuff??
the SA seems to be drying up so i'm looking for alternates. AIM has this russian ammo for $55/500rds. aim is out of SA.

IIRC - Its zinc plated steel cases, as opposed to lacquer or copper washing (not nickel plated). And it has a bi-metal bullet jacket instead of just copper, if that makes a difference to you.

The only reports Ive heard is that it feeds and fires better than wolf (no laquer to stick and less FTFs having berdan primers with a softer cup), and precision depends on the firearm. Some have said better than wolf, some have said worse. YMMV....

Edited to add: I have no personal experience with it.

I just ordered some to try out in my Bushy. It hates Wolf. I'll let you know how it workes in my gun.

My Colt Sporter likes it and I do to.  I've shot both the sp and the hp.  I shot 300 rounds of hp a couple weeks ago with no probs.  I feel more comfortable with the zinc washing than the lacquer coating, althogh the few times I've shot Wolf I've never had problems with it either.  The only thing is that it smells a little funny.  I use it b/c it is the only inexpensive hp/sp ammo that I've found.  At my local ranges fmj is not allowed.

Have fired about 1k rounds of Silver Bear and brownbear each in CZ-75 9mm works good but aweful hard to manually eject a round of teh silver bear so that bother me about reliability issues, but so far so good.
