I was under the impression "Dirty Load" just meant that the particular load burns dirty and leaves a lot of coke behind in the action/barrel. That's what it means to me unless the meaning is more deep.
For instance, Win 231 burns much dirtier in my 1911 than VV N320. |

Using powders that are too slow for the cartridge.
Such as H-380 loaded in a .223 with a 55 grain bullet will leave alot of residue in barrel and action. |
