Never heard of it.   Give us some info on it, please.

Who introduced it, what's the bill number?

I originally posted and tacked a thread on it here: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=117944&w=searchPop

The current last action status on the bill:

.R.4101
Sponsor: Rep Crowley, Joseph(introduced 4/9/2002)
Latest Major Action: 5/6/2002 Referred to House subcommittee. Status: Referred to the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security.
Title: To amend title 18, United States Code, to require firearms, ammunition, and explosives purchases to be made in person and to require records to be kept of the means by which the purchases are made.

It's been in Judiciary and the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security for a long time so it probably died in there.

You never can tell though.

Feel free to write your rep.  It helps if your rep is on the judiciary or the subcommittee.  Maybe someone with a Rep who sits on one of those committees can get an update for us.

And when you vote, don't forget to punish these people, they tried to make it happen:

Co sponsors:

Rep Blagojevich, Rod R. - 4/9/2002
Rep Capuano, Michael E. - 4/9/2002
Rep Clay, Wm. Lacy - 4/9/2002
Rep Engel, Eliot L. - 4/9/2002
Rep McCarthy, Carolyn - 4/9/2002

Punish this guy at the polls is what I'll do this November, but unfortunately the liberals and moderates in this state will make this rights grabber the next Governor of Illinois.
