That certainly looks like a Portugese headstamp to me...although I can't recall seeing any surplus Port 5.56mm. Let us know how it runs.

Portugese.. I've found it to be very accurate out of my rifle..

I don't know if this is the same stuff, mine is in a 40rnd box and these are 20rnd boxes, but www.empirearms.com/ammo.htm has this: 5.56x45 NATO (.223 Remington), Spanish 1993-dated 62gr. SS109 standard military ball mfg. at Fabrica Palencia, NC/BO, reloadable, gorgeous, shoots really good, packed in square 20-round boxes. 100 rounds (five boxes), $22.50 200 rounds (ten boxes), $42.00 |
