the executive summary is, very cool.

The only bad thing is, no bolt hold open on the last shot. Everything else is great. Very accurate and reliable.

One huge advantage of it, MechTech is just an upper and like any AR upper can be shipped.  It can always be removed and put back in the original configuration.

Just shot my G17 version yesterday for the first time.   Shot some nice 3/4 inch groups at 50 yards using a scope and WWB.

Shot a bunch of different hollow points  and all fed just fine.

The only thing I dont like about it is lack of iron sights and the cost of adding them.   You have to get the rail system and then get sights also to add on.

I get about 1.5" groups at 50 yards with good ammo, about 2.5" with Brown Bear 9mm and about 4-5" with Winchester White Box Chimart special.

That's with a red dot sight.   It's not really optimal for precision target shooting.    OTOH a scope is silly at 25 yards.

Don't believe any of the nonsense about it being illegal to convert back to a pistol.
BATF has ruled on this.

http://mechtechsys.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=431

BATF recently published a ruling which clarifies this – here is the link: https://www.atf.gov/file/55526/download. There has been a lot of misinformation circulating to the effect that once the pistol lower has been assembled to a rifle configuration then converting back to the pistol constitutes ‘making a pistol from a rifle’ and thereby placing the pistol into the SBR (short barrelled rifle) class. Not so. Please see our Forum for even further clarification. It is the first post on the Forum so you don’t have to spend time trying to find it.

I've had my Glock .45ACP conversion for 10 years.  It came only with the tele-stock & no rails, except for the Weaver on top.  I replaced it with their M4 stock adapter & an old carbine stock.
The forward rail is a CAA TRM3 - Triple Rail Mounting System.  The hole spacing is exactly the same, only need longer pan head machine screws.

if you plan on using one for USPSA PCC you may not be able to use lite loads.. mine won't work with much less than a 150 power factor

45ACP is cool. It does not add as much velocity as either 9mm or 10mm.  Supposedly 9mm hot loads are turned into 357 magnum territory. i.e. 125 grain going 1450 fps and 10mm is a beast. The web site velocity-by-the-inch does not list the most popular loads, just some of them to give you an idea what to expect from a 16" barrel.
