I am looking to start a 9mm AR build. The only necessary requirement I have for an upper is for it to be threaded 1/2x28 at the muzzle so I can attact a AAC suppressor. What are the available uppers out there. I found that Spikes tactical has them but was wondering if there were others.

9mm barrels usually are specifically NOT threaded 1/2x28 due to the dangers of attaching a standard muzzle device sized for 5.56/.223. Usually they are custom or specialty products.

you can get 1/2x28 9mm uppers from oly i know several people that have them

My spikes 9mm barrel was threaded 1/2 x 28

The oly is 5/8x24 standard but 1/2x28 on request. Since you mentioned the can you should also know the oly is 1:16 twist barrel while the colt style is 1:10.

2 of my Spikes are threaded 1/2x28 and the Noveske is 1/2x28

I got a bbl from Adco that is 1/2x28.

RRA and Colt barrels are 1/2 X 36. Just in case you were looking at them. I'm sure any machine shop could rethread to your pattern but you would lose a bit of barrel length.
