I know he was doing what he really loved –– riding his motorcycle. Damn, that news makes me really feel bad. He did a lot of stuff for me and he was easy to work with. He had some medical problems for a while and I thought that would be the thing that would take him out –– not his bike! My condolences go out to his family members –– I know I'll miss the guy. a long time ago, Kurt was a regular here on ARFCOM and a lot of people liked him –– some didn't. I had my ups and downs with him and I really liked the guy just the same –– for me this is the end of an era.

I'm actually going out riding after I get off work today.
I'll say a little something special for him while I'm out and about. I always hate seeing other riders go down for the count. RIP.

A very sad day for both his family as well as his extended family here at ARFCOM. Kurt was an inspiration to many of us, including me. He did phenomenal work, some of it long before others even thought of it. A great loss to the firearms community. Sincerest condolences to his family.

I didn't know him, but the fact that he rode a VMax automatically elevates my respect for him. VMax pilots are a unique and rare breed.

Wow. Sad news indeed. I followed many threads that mentioned his barrel work and happy results. He was very well-liked and in demand non-stop for his skills as a machinist and gunsmith. Via con Dios, Sir. You will be missed.

He was an awesome machinist and gunsmith, the uppers he built me are my favorites. Great guy to talk to also, always seemed to me to be the kind of guy that lived more in a day than most live in a month. He'll be missed by all.

He did some barrel work for me on my DI 357sig rifle. He was a stand up guy who did great work. A sad day...... |
