Just wanted to know if anyone has a favorive .22LR cartridge that leaves less residue in the firearm or smokes less.  I usually use the Federal bulk ammo (blue box) but it still seems dirty to me.

CMP has Aguila 22lr that is supposed to be very clean..I am going to the North store next week to buy 5K and see how they do.

I hope so. they say the CCI with powder is pretty clean.

Those things actually leave a total mess inside my suppressor.  They crap out some kind of granular dust residue, almost like sand, that get in the 'can.  If I shoot a 50box and then tap the suppressor on the table I get a good "half-sugar cube" sized volume of "black sand" that comes out.

ETA: I would have to say that CCI is the cleanest burning, in my experience.
