Uppers? Prices? Availability? Don't tease us!
Seriously, this looks like a great start, and I am very interested in it. I would also be interested in your plans for barrels, particularly whether you plan to offer chrome lined barrels. With the surplus Tok around being "probably" corrosive, I'd like to stick with chrome lined barrels and maybe even stainless keys/bolts... |
I'm in for(at least) two adapters, great to see some pictures.
Pricing on a NFA length kit to include the adapter Marty.
Something like 7" or so would be great..... Please let us know as soon as you can, oh, and where do I send the check? |
tagarooni im most definately IN. |
For barrels we intend to offer either stainless for the higher end or else CrMo with Hard Blue from Superior Barrels. Cost of barrels we hope to be competitive with .223 barrels out there.
Bolts, we will see if we can get Superior to assist with those as well - their Hard Blue is something wicked... |
I want one. I havent read up on it much but would you be able to use a 9mm bolt with x25? If it needs to be heavier due to the more powerful ammo can a heavier buffer be used? For the barrels were yall planning on going blowback or gas-op? I like the design, I've been after something like this for awhile.
We were intending to go gas op, but I will test this set up with blow back. Gas op is a lot smoother to shoot, plus if you shoot reloadable brass, it won't tear it up. I've got a little trick up my sleeve for blow back to make things interesting, update on that to follow.
If it's what I think it is, I may be needing one! |
Interesting is good. I have some retarded ideas for a blowback. Or is that an idea about a retarded blowback? |
second post deleted for excessive redundancy.
If my trigger work was as good as my mouse work, I would be in big trouble! |
I cant wait to try that block on my Oly 45 upper. My initial tests looked like these mags would feed .45 without a problem.
If memory serves me...
I believe the PPs43 mag will also accommodate .45acp! That would make this a VERY interesting addition to those of us who enjoy the thump of that round. buckmeister |
gonna have to give you a call.....killed a couple hard drives awhile back and lost all your emails and phone numbers...........
long story short....lent my pps mag block out.......could use another for my original blowback setup.....also got a couple 308 barrel blanks sitting in my garage.......... |
Does the Tok round get anything from the 16" bbl or would an 11.5" be sufficient? I've always liked the look of the 11.5+5.5 setup.
The answer is yes. Yes, a 16" barrel produces a bit more velocity, but, yes, an 11.5" barrel would be sufficient. A caveat. I am basing my answer on what Quickload says. It says that a reasonable charge of Power Pistol behind the Hornady 86 grain bullet will produce 1828 FPS in an 11.5" barrel, while in a 16", it produces 1940 FPS. Like most pistol caliber carbines, there is a useful increase in velocity, but it certainly is not mind blowing by any means. It pretty much boils down to personal preference. 1940 FPS is not going to do anything that 1828 won't do. At 100 meters, the difference will be even less. |

Are all of the blocks going to be engraved as pictured?
Not planning on using mine for 7.62x25, just wondering. |

Haven't tried feeding any rounds into the mag, but it looks like the .40 and 10mm would both possibly fit as well . . . not sure how they'd stack or feed, but inquiring minds want to know . . .
Now thats damn sexy.
I am most definetely in on this once you get these bad boys up and running. Later and have a good one. |

Yes, we will be offering NFA length barrels, I am working on a special version right now. Can you share details on these special versions???? What have you done to make them run well? |
If my Glock purchase dosn't pan out, I might just get one of these uppers and magblock to go with a CZ-52.
Do you have any idea towards the pricing for an upper half + magblock package? |
quick update
Adapters are still not completed from the shop making them, but they are working on them, with the intent for us to have them on display at the SHOT Show. Special NFA barrel version had to take a bakc seat due to home repair issues (*Ike tore the place up, still few more months of rebuild to go) Blow back has been tested and we're working with Slash on getting the best spring and buffer combo - we've used some interesting loads I hope to share pictures shortly |

You want some to try? |

Correct? Question: are you going to release them for sale as the become ready or wait until all packages are ready? |
Any updates? I'm about to pull the trigger on some mags. (Marty, I sent you an IM!)
Got a BUNCH of mags just sitting and waiting for this one . .
What?! No 2009 bump!?
Oh well, here it is..... the 2009 bump. |
Come to think of it, I believe these 7.62x25 threads have had a 2007 and 2008 bump along the way.

Things have taken a bit longer than anticipated. Still tweaking the process but delivering production samples to Marty at SHOT. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u155/tekwerk/tm3.jpg[/url] Right now we've got Left and Right hand models running. Working on an AMBI version, bolt hold open, and for you 9 fans, UZI's I know Marty has been running hard lately especially with the huricane damage and a cold that just won't go away so I just wanted to let you know, the adapters are real. And real close..... Really want...... |

I just bit the bullet on a PPS-43 parts kit with 4 mags! (I should have just gotten more mags, but I've always wanted a parts kit! )
I'm thinking once these uppers get popular, the prices on the mags will increase. |
