So I didn’t love the A2 tactical solutions dedicated AR because I couldn’t for the life of me get it to sight in correctly with the F marked front sight post and the A2 upper.  I’ve never had a problem with any other upper.  Anyway, the upper took a trip to John at retro arms works and now I have a dedicated Mk18 mod0 clone in .22lr.  I’m digging it.

I’ve posted this before, but I had it out today so I thought I’d snap some pics.  Also, figured out why it wouldn’t fire reliably during last range trip.

I posted mine a few pages back, ended up not liking the faux “disruptive grey” rattle can, so I stripped it and repainted it a lá the NSW MP7’s floating around. Also hated that tiny little Sig PDW grip so swapped it out and added a Surefire M300.

I love this.  Full sized stock on the lower with an abbreviated A1 upper suppressed by a pillbox can.  It's definitely unique.

Always wanted to build a .22 upper for my pistol lower and finally did it. Cerakoted it in Tungsten to match the lower today and now it's finished.

Midway USA has this Nordic in stock with a 9.25 inch barrel.

It was just delivered, but I haven't shot it yet.

I commented on your post on Facebook. I got my stuff in Friday, put it together on Sunday, and got the Better-Mag adapter in yesterday. Looking forward to shooting it sometime soon.

After some initial quality issues that RTB/CMMG made right, I have this rig up and running.  And boy does it run.  Through the first several hundred rounds it's running flawlessly with high velocity ammo (1 light strike/failure to ignite, but that may be ammo) and it runs awesome with standard velocity ammo and a suppressor.  I have to remove the additional bolt weight to get a consistent reset of the trigger with standard/subsonic ammo.

I didn't run the gun before I installed the Bore Buddy reliability parts, but as an engineer I'm pretty impressed with the upgrades.

I also really like the Strike latchless charging handle.  Since 22lr uppers are low recoiling and short stroking that part really ups the ergonomics and this gun doesn't have the hang-ups using it that bigger bore guns do.

This thing is so much fun and runs way quieter suppressed than my 10/22s.  I can tell this guy is going to be a regular companion to the range and with 5.56 prices in the stratosphere I'm glad to have something I can shoot and still enjoy my ARs.

Aero Precision slick side upper receiver

Daniel Defense iron sights
Ariska hand stop
Pistol lower assembly (Larue MBT-2s trigger)
Dead Air Mask 22 suppressor

Thanks.

It’s a 7” that came on a Combat Armory Kit.  That pistol has a 7” G MK14 now.  I’ll try to get pics.

Looks great!  I’m just waiting for those 9” barrels to come back in stock so I can do something similar.  I’ve got the 4.5” one but I like the idea of running the 9” with the 7” rail and no can.  Nice work!
