Long time lurker, first post!

Here's one of ours:

CMMG BCG and barrel, some 'skeletonize' upper receiver I got on a sale, Tennessee Firearms poly clear lower receiver, Geiselle SSA trigger group, titanium muzzle brake, Eotech grip and a few other titanium bits inside.  We went with the Bettermag M&P 15-22 mag adapter so we could use M&P 15-22 mags.

The thing is super-reliable and giggly-fun to shoot.  My wife and I both put single-ragged holes in the paper at 20 yards indoors.

If you ever post a range report about this let me know.  I had a PWS summit and would like to know how the VQ is.

Recently picked up a .22mag bolt gun and rebuilt my squirrel blaster with an SPR inspired theme to complement my 10/22 as suppressor hosts.  I just love suppressed rimfire guns.

I plan on it. I had no intention to build around a Summit until Gemtech gave me the Mist as a gift a while ago. Was easy to get the headspace nailed with the included shims so, pre optic I took it in the back and function checked it. Well, it ran fantastic for the first 8-10 rounds then the dreaded fte
symptoms started.
The action is very smooth, I think I have the right lockup/tension when a round is in the chamber and it feeds flawlessly. I broke it down and lubed, cleaned, checked headspace with the feeler gauge then reassembled it. Same results. 8-10 rounds and fte.
Ironically, seemed like it is happening more consistently with Gemtech .22 (my thought was maybe it's the ton of wax GT puts on their .22)
I then thought it may be case rim diameters and there def many different size rims on various .22

So I contacted Volquartsen and so far Scott V. has been on it, returning my emails promptly with ideas, sent out an updated cam and will be sending ejectors to replace. I really appreciate their service thus far.
Today at some point, I will remove the bolt and visually inspect the space between the ejectors and the case rim with a seated case.

Anyway this is where I am, ready to put the optic on and shoot.

Nice looking blasters. It's amazing how many more rimfire options are out compared to when I starting shooting AR's. Pretty much had to chose between the m261 military .22 kit or the Ceiner. Love all the .22s in this thread. Kind of makes me want to build another.

SBR'd my AR22 pistol. PSA lower, 4.5" RTB barrel, CMMG dedicated MK4/9 upper, CMMG dedicated 22LR BCG, KAK slimline flash can, CMMG RML4 4" handguard, Boonie Packer BMA, and Troy Tomahawk ultra short PDW stock. Also have Q El Camino waiting in jail for it. Thinking a 10rd S&W 15-22 mag might be more in line for this build for the shortness.

CMMG Ripstock
22LR CMMG Banshee upper
Cheapo 7” handguard off of ar15handguards.com
Boonie Packer better mag conversion for 15-22 mags
Franklin Armory BFS III binary trigger

The AAC Element 2 *barely* fits in the handguard, with the bolts from the vertical foregrip. I’d say there is about .01” of clearance or less. For $35, I should have put a 7” rail on this thing ages ago.

As far as reliability goes, I’ve got many more than 10,000 rounds through this rifle and it has been damn near flawless.

It is a KNS pic rail that goea into your AR lower. The brace is a SB Tactical 1913 brace that attached to the KNS rail.

I really like it.

After getting 3 of the braces...I now see they make an aluminum version as well as the polymer one. Nothing wrong with the polymer ones, but may have gotten at least 1 aluminum one to see if it was worth the extra $$$.

@HK_DUDE Is there anywhere for the rear attachment point of a qd sling? Do you think there's enough room on the KNS adapter to mount the brace in a higher picatinny slot and put a rail mount qd attachment socket under the brace? Would that make the cheekweld too high? I like this set up but it seems like it would make attaching a sling problematic.

The sling location is the only downside with this setup that I see.

If you put the brace up any higher you cannot work the charging handle:(

You could use 550 cord to make a loop through one of the holes in the arm, but I'd probably prefer the aluminum version for that.

Another option would be installing a Blue Force Gear burnsed QD socket on the brace strap. They make a machined aluminum and a molded plastic with aluminum insert version. I have them on a few braces and they work fine. You just have to get the strap really tight and trap it between the strap buckle and the brace somehow.

I have two:

My favorite is a purpose-built upper for use with my M261.  1:12 barrel cut to 4.5", and an 8" can buried under the handguard.  Quiet as a nail-gun and runs like a sewing machine.

Hard to bitch about accuracy at ~25yrds.

And one of TacSol complete uppers that Midway was blowing out last year at stupid-cheap prices.  A more conventional .22LR AR, if that's really a thing.
