Anyone see this from Ameetec Arms? It's the AR45. I never gave up.

www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=150&t=154182

Between Justin and I, we had about 1000 requests to buy an AR45. If you want one, contact Ameetec Arms and convince them to start selling them.

I am working with Ameetec to license the rights to manufacturer the AR45. They would like to see the potential market for the AR45. In the last 12 months, I have received emails or IMs from close to 800 guys that said they wanted one. Justin at CNC Gunsmithing received another 200-300 names.

No if we can just get those same guys to tell Ameetec to make it and they will buy it, we can get this show on the road.

Sent'em an email.  Any idea of what they'll be asking for it?  BTW, good effort there, man.

Email Sent and posted on their thread...

Now were can one get an Oly 45 Upper?

When Ameetec starts production I wonder if we could get enough interest to see if Oly (or one of their retailers - or better yet Ameetec) would offer us a group buy discount on Oly 45 Uppers.

Try Ranier Arms.  Their service was excellent.  I called once and they were out of stock.  They were good at letting me know when one was available and shipping was quick.

I thought you contracted with James Degroat at Small Arms Review show to produce these.

I just don't understand why you guys don't get your own manuf. license and get er done.

I did not contract with DeGroat as he had problems with insurance. It doesn't matter if I get a manufacturers license, I'd still need a $100,000 CNC machine and and an ass load of money to make these myself. Starting a gun manufacturing company is enormously expensive, especially for one product with a small niche in the market.

I also retire from the Army in a few month and will be moving to another state. No use trying to build a business now.

Damn I want one.

Yeah, I wanted one, too.  But now, Ameetec doesn't like the "cost analysis" of producing these.  Three pages of responses of people wanting to buy them, with Ameetec continuously posting like these are going into production soon, and now they are doing a cost analysis?!?!

Please visit the Group Buy forum in the Equipment Exchange for Group Buy rules.

See page six for an update. Looks like they are taking advance orders.

AR45

Now is the time if you are interested.

Maybe I can finally get to use all the GG mags that are sitting on a shelf!!

Well, here's hoping there're 300 of us.

You can send your money to Ameetec now and hope they get 300 orders in a reasonable amount of time, or you can complete your own with a 10% from Justin now.  He has the orders needed to make a run, so you can get on the list and complete it yourself.  If you have basic, VERY basic, milling knowledge and access to a milling machine, you can be shooting when everybody else is letting their money sit in someone else's bank account.

In the "AR45 Range Results" thread, someone even posted about a manufacturer who will complete and register one of Justin's lowers for you for $75.  So, $295 for Justin's AR45 lower, $10 shipping and $75 for someone else to complete it for you, and you can be shooting right away!

I'm glad that Ameetec is finally moving on this, but I'm just not willing to send them that much money, hoping they can get 300 orders within the seven months they posted, and if not, I just have to "be patient".  Like Tangochaser said before, it's a huge investment, and I completely understand why a smaller company needs the money in advance.  But, to me, that's a substantial amount of money, and I want to shoot my AR45 NOW!

At least we all have two options now.  Ameetec will be producing them, and Justin is making another run of lowers for you to complete.  I just hope I beat all of you to the good deals on GG mags at the gunshows !

If anybody hasn't seen this information!

We need to get some more people interested to start the manufacturing.

Please send an email to Ameetec Arms
