I am getting ready to order some spare mags for my M261 kit from SARCO.  They sell a spare parts kit for $29.95.  Is it really needed, or does it have parts in it that will probably never be needed?

Any ideas from the M261 users?

Thanks.

I was at SARCO the other day and picked up their M261 + mags as well as the $29.95 spares kit.

The M261 adapter is brand new still in cosmolene perservative, built "like a tank" as mentioned elsewhere on this site.  It took some scrubbing and hot water to get the dust and preservative off, but afterward it was brand spanking new.  CLP wipedown and some TW25B grease on the rails, and in it went.

The spares kit is a sweet deal, but doesn't include the recoil spring.  I spent the extra $4 and got one.
