The Oly with the Glock lower from what I have read and heard is the way to go.
I also heard that its hard to get the Glock lower with them, they have some other type lower they commonly have ??? Not sure about that part. I would go with the Glock lower because you can buy 33rd mags and they are solid performers. my 2 cents. |

For fit, finish and reliabilty, Colt/RRA is the way to go. Oly is the way to go to do it on the cheap. It is more expensive, but a Colt or RRA rifle + a Hahn mag block and some colt mags will look beautiful and work perfectly. Heres my RRA with a Hahn mag block:

The RRA block is fine for range work. It will feed FMJ very well, especially with Colt mags. However, if you want to use hollowpoints or flat nosed bullets, the Hahn block is awesome. I used to have an RRA block, and it turned my 9mm AR into a jam-a-matic with anything but FMJ.

The best 9mm rifle? What will you be using it for? What features are important to you? You could say Colt is the best or OLY. If you want the bolt to stay open after the last round the a Colt with Colt mags or an OLY/Glock. If it's a range gun that's another story. I have an OLY because I can't own an Colt AR15 (banned) we still have a AWB in CT.

It's not really a forend per-say, it's the MGI QCB(quick change barrel). The handguard is integrated to teh upper. |

I think I read some where that the Hahn block has a ramp built into it. Is this true?

Every mag block has to have a feed ramp. Here is what the ramp on the RRA block looks like:  And here is the ramp on the Hahn block:  Here you can see that rounds from each side of the double stack magazine have their own individual groove to guide the round into the chamber:  I got my Hahn block from ameetec. Sorry for the grainy pics; I hope this helps. Now I'm off to clean that filthy rifle. |

There are 2 different Hahn top loading mag blocks. The "dedicated" mag block requires removal of the bolt catch for installation. The original bolt catch is then reinstalled, and holds the bolt open with colt and promag magazines. There is a different top loading hahn block that simply drops in; it does not hold the bolt open, but it is cheaper and it is easier to install, as it does not require removal of the bolt catch. |

Thats right, the top loading mag block is rock solid in the magwell without pins or screws. Be advised that in order to get my colt mags to reliably hold the bolt open on the last round, I had to change all the mag springs to wolff extra power springs.

I'd go with the colt system mod for sten mags. I'm using uzi mags and ASA block. I need to tune it up as I have had feeding probs, pro mag related. 762
