M&A parts and J&T distributing have more inexpensive SBR 9mm uppers than original colt.  however they are not chrome lined like the colt is.

you have to download the J&T catelog, it is in PDF format.   IIRC it should be down somewhere around pages 14-18.

edit:  they also have orginal colt SBR uppers.

I just got one of the RRA 10.5's from Legal Transfers in the mail today.  Haven't shot it yet, but it looks great & fits a Colt lower like a glove.

Anyone makes 14.5" bbl in 9mm???
Link Posted: 9/30/2005 3:24:27 PM EDT
[#14]
14.5" will have to be a custom job.  the only reason they made ar 9mm barrels longer than 11.5" is to make them legal non-NFA (which is 16").  i was actually thinking of getting the thin profile 16" barrel from J&T and getting it cut back 14.7" and have an A2 fh pertmanently attached to make it 16".  only reason i want to do it is so i can have the spitting image of my light weight .223 , only 9mm.
