hey guys
just put together a 9mm ameetec lower. with a colt 6450 upper. the recoil spring
seems to bunch up on the colt heavy buffer.then the bolt does not have enough uummpf to
lock up. will this wear in?? is there a special spring??
i tried a standard buffer, it worked fine but it was a bit harsh on the action.
any ideas???
thanks all

what do you mean by bunching up?

you mean around the buffer? yes all of mine are a tight fit around the buffer but never had any problems with driving the bolt home. are you riding the bolt home and having the lock up problem?

my buddy told me to lightly twist the spring. i did it and it worked like a charm.
gave the buffer just that tad more room it needed between the spring.

the coils where bunching up.
ran 400 rounds without a hitch
