Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Inexpensive (but good) optics for a .22 LR upper?

Wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the Optics forum, but here goes anyway ........

What optics do you all like for a dedicated .22 LR upper?  I'm thinking along the lines of one of the inexpensive red dots (BSA, Tasco).  Putting an Aimpoint, EOTech, or ACOG on a plinker seems a bit like overkill to me ...........

Any specific recommendations?

As far as red dot I use the below
