Where can I get a stripped A1 style upper receiver for a 9mm

Here in Ohio, try Garrison Mfg Inc, just minutes west of Toledo. ADCO is in Toledo, check there also.

DPMS has them also. Brownells carries the DPMS , and if you have an FFL (even a C&R FFL they give you deraler discount. $89 for the slick side and $79 for the Canadian C7 version of the A1 with shell deflector.

Ok dumb
from a 9mm ar newb...I have seen the A1 uppers around, but are 223/5.56 upper receivers the same as 9mm upper receivers? What about the shell deflector? |

yup! they are the same. if you buy a slick side upper, RRA and M&A sell the 9mm gas deflector port door kits. it will look just like colt 9mm SMG upper. you can also add the 9mm door kit to a standard .223 upper, it just looks a little odd with the large gas deflector stacked in front of the shell deflector. now that i think of it fulton armory sells a lick side upper also.
