Sorry if this has been asked before, search is not working.

Does anyone make:

1.  Forged .22LR Lowers?
2.  A complete .22LR rifle with a forged lower?

TIA

My pre-ban DPMS M4 .22 carbine has a forged lower, …

… as soon as I get it,
… it's been stuck at Chicago Airport waiting for Fed export papers for 3 weeks now.

BTW… lowers are calibre independent.

DPMS started making  .22lr marked lowers last year, and they are cast not forged.

Must be a US market thing, DPMS supply forged lowers on their export .22's

could be an export thing.  the five or so i saw were at their shooting range in MN.  most were the original flat-top, but one was a pre-production M-4.  they may have changed to forged in the production M-4.  double check when you get it. on DPMS lowers if the company name  and city are raised it is cast, if they are stamped in it is forged.  the ones i saw still said BECKER, MN.  they have since moved to St. Cloud, MN, and not sure if they switched the receiver markings yet.  i hope they are forged.  the reason i never bought one is because the ones i saw were cast.  i'll have to look into it again.

I bought forged Oly lowers for the fact that they're marked "Cal. Multi" instead of "Cal. 5.56".  I like to cover all the bases.  Never was comfortable with a .223 marked lower with a 9mm or .300 Whisper upper.  (Damn...where do they keep the "obsessive-compulsive" smilie...)

YMMV.
