Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt 9mm question...

The bolt catch on my Colt 6450 has broken AGAIN (like the 3rd or 4th time). I can't seem to figure out what is causing this, so I was wondering what damage would be done to the rifle if shot without the bolt catch in place?

The bolt won't lock back is about all that will happen.
