I am trying to find a clamp on, low profile gas block for a .750" barrel that will fit underneath that forearm and still let it free-float.


The ID of the tube is 1.46", and it looks like the usual issue with clamp on gas blocks is the position of the clamping screws.  

Will this http://www.vltor.com/product/gb-clamp-on-set-screw/ gas block fit under the ALG rail?  It looks like it should clear when adding up all the dimensions, but I don't want to order anything without actually knowing what fits and what doesn't.

Vltor will work, but a YHM lp gb is about 1/2 the price and should work as well (full disclosure - I have both)...

I have nothing against a less expensive part.


Do you have your YHM block under a handguard?

The YHM is under a Fortis...
