A1 to A2 handguards

I picked up a build from someone, it has a Spike Tactical lower with an A2 upper. It has A1 triangular handguards. I want to change out for some A2 handguards. My question is, will the A2 handguards fit into the triangular piece in the front ( at the front sight base)???

Yes. I went the opposite way, out triangles on my A2

Thank you sir, I thought so, but didn't want to order or buy some round handguards and they not fit...

A-1= L & R , A-2= Top & Bottom. Everything else is the same.

I put A1 triangular handguards on my 20" bushmaster... PM me you address and I will give you my A2 takeoffs. I will never use em.

My new barrel has the trianglular cap and I too want to use an A2 handguard. Does it look strange the triangluar cap on a round handguard?

Nearly every single 20 inch AR-15 has a triangle cap. To include all issued M16A2/A3s. I think PSA is the only company currently selling a round cap'd 20.
