First guess would be the drum magazine isn't designed to do so.

Never had a 50 for my 308' kinda sucks they would design a magazine that did not utilize the bolt stop.

Subs might not have run the carrier back far enough to lock back? Pretty cool it runs at all.  Does this post indicate that a normal, stock POF .308 runs suppressed with subs? If so....how hard does it run suppressed with supersonic fodder?
