Decisions Decisions.

I was in the market for purchase a 716 but wanted the best deal. Now, the prices are creeping up. Wondering if it will come back down after the panic buys....

If it's like in 08, the panic won't settle anytime soon and by then it may be too late. It may be the best deal is the one you get now....

I agree with Lawman. The time to buy is now. If we, as gun owners, come out of the upcoming wrath unscathed, it'll be an absolute miracle.

The number of Sig 516s on GB has dropped by 70% since Friday.
They are being bought up and prices are about $100.00 higher now.

I remember when silver was $15.00 an ounce and I decided to but two 100 ounce bars. but, the price jumped to $17.00 and i was not going to pay that outrageous price.
I decided to wait until it came back down.

I bought a 516 this weekend in FDE at 1450 and was happy to get that one. Northeasten Guns on GB has 516 uppers for 829.00 no tax and free shipping so I goty one of thoes to go with a Rock River lower I had as a spare. saw 4 Sig 716's sold in 8 hours this past Saturday.

A few have reported ordering 10.5" uppers over a year ago but due to current order fulfillment, Sig hasn't even scheduled a new run of these.

Northeastern Guns had 6 Sig 516 Patrol uppers 16" two days ago. I bought one na dthne the next day they were all gone. No more listed. I think there is one 516 on GB tonight.

Well, didn't listen and didn't buy. Now, they are going for 2500 to 3500. WOW is all I can say. Might as well donate the funds to a good cause. NRA and VCDL.

None of us know how this will all play out. they could demand turn them in, they could require registration they could grandfather them in and/or do so with you can not transfer and turn in upon death etc.

We can only speculate.

So, at 63 1/2 I believe if i can not sell my 716 later i would rather dump it now so will put it on auction and see how it goes.

I can tell as I age further it will become too much recoil and better to cash out when the market is hot.

i really like my 716 but it is not worth the gamble.

hey, its better than needing the money when the market is down!!

there is only one Sig516 on GB right now, all others have been sold!!

I actually see more 516s on GB right now. Prices aren't all that great. I have to agree that we can only speculate now. I have to just be positive about everything and hope that we will get through this without a scratch....

When I posted there was one 516 but since then a number have been added.

Fact is the seller can start it at 1 cent but you can be sure it will hit $2500 or more

I placed an order with Ryan at Sig yesterday for both 16" and 10" uppers. He told me the 16s would be 6-8 weeks and there was no ETA on the 10s.

It is, that's what I ordered, 516 complete uppers. I hope I get the tens!

I finally gave up on Sig as I am sure their production schedule is prioritizing non-NFA items. I contacted Marvin Pitts and we developed a SBR plan for my current 16 inch 516. I was very impressed by his knowledge of the industry in general as well as his deep technical base re: the relationships among material properties, physics of different gas port systems, effects on accuracy, barrel life, optimization for end-user usage habits, understanding of various piston systems and how to tune each for alterations made to the barrel, getting full use out of piston valves after dwell time reductions, etc. My rifle is with him now. I have no doubt that when it returns, my Sig will be properly altered and optimized for the ammo I shoot and for the environments I take it in.
