OP, did you mistakenly type BCM 14.5" twice? Do you mean to say used BCM 14.5 lightweight vs AA 16" upper? |

I'd go for the 16" upper. All other things being equal, the extra velocity is nice, and you'll never notice the extra length.

I think you will be surprised how nice it is and how well it's made. For comparison of any manufacturer it's hard to find outright junk. I think by now if any of these piston companies had a really bad or above average failures it would be well known here.
