I have a question for the Osprey owners out there. I know that eventually  I have to clean the BCG and other internal parts of the rifle, but when is it necessary to clean the piston system itself???...and which part do I need to focus on. I would really like to know how often do I need to clean the piston system since I may not be cleaning it every time I come home from the range ( reason for that is that I have a free float hand guard and it requires me to take it apart ).

I would post this in  the Industry section under Osprey and Cory from Osprey should be able to answer your question.

I got an answer from them...they said clean out the system every 4-5 thousand rounds.
