Why is this planned only as a limited run?  It could be one of your most popular barrels.

Looks great!  I'd pick one up but I feel the need to hold out for the same model in a middy (wink wink nudge nudge).

Just out of curiosity, is Bushy the only company offering a 14.5 without the M4 cuts?

RRA makes one, or at least they did. I picked one up from PK late last year.

Pin a Vortex or 5C2 on there and I'll buy one.

Do you guys ever do this with a Vortex? I want exactly what you guys are showing here, except with a Vortex instead of an A2.

I agree with a couple of the other posters, the A2 is whats keeping me from getting one. If the vortex was not demonsterably better than the A2 it would be no big deal, but it is. And is there an ETA on the 14.5" midi stripped that you have planned? Im tired of waiting for the Sabre's to get in stock...hehe. I am suprised there are not more companies (if any) making a 14.5" pinned vortex with a low profile gas block already installed. That seems to be what the market is asking for. Just look at the rifles people are building, the easier you can make it for your customer, the better.

If I were in the market for a pinned 14.5 I would have to go with the Vortex.

Question for Paul ...

In general, how does the flash suppression of the BCM extended A2 compare to either a Phantom or a Vortex?  I would assume that the A2x does better than a standard A2, but perhaps not necessarily quite as well as the other two ... ?

However, IMHO, in this instance "close enough" would be "good enough".  I've always maintained that if I were to ever own a 14.5" upper, that my preference would be to have a Phantom perm attached (not really a fan of the Vortex for an "M4ish" application), BUT if the BCM A2x can sort of approximate the effectiveness of a Phantom, then as far as *I'm* concerned, the issue would be moot.

I prefer the A2 hider so this is exactly what I have been looking/waiting for from BCM, and ordered one tonight.

Question though, might the weld have any negative affect in terms of accuracy or compromise the chrome lining of the bore (critical at the muzzle end)?

Thank you!
Don

Guess I ordered the last one as they are now no longer in stock.  Cool!
