It has clearer glass but at almost 6 times the price it should. The new PA 1-4X is pretty darn close to 1X and the glass is far better than anything else I have seen anywhere close to the price range. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this one. Check out our return policy. If you want to see for yourself order one to check out the glass. As long as it has not been mounted we will take it back. Thanks Marshall |

Just ordered one with the Primary Arms mount (thanks for ll of your assistance Marshall!). I have been using a Primary Arms M4 for a short while and I'm most impressed with it! The M4 is my first experience with a red dot type sight (have always used iron sights) and I'm quickly discovering why they're so widely used. The PA 1-4X will be my forst scope as well. After checking out several scopes locally yesterday I cam to the conclusion that 4X would be more than adequate for my casual paper punching at 200 yards. I'm looking forward to getting it mounted and zeroed.

I got my Primary Arms 1-4x scope the other day and this thing is just extremely nice. At 1x this scope is surprisingly good for CQB fast target acquisition and I think that is due in part to the reticle, which just as Marshall has said it is "very fast to the target." Pretty much everything that Marshall has said about this scope is right on point, and you will definitely not be disappointed (If you are disappointed, I think your expectations might be a bit ridiculous). IMHO, if you are looking for a really good hardcore 1-4x scope under $500 its a no brainer, the Primary Arms 1-4x scope will get the job done and do it well. Oohh, I forgot to mention that the thing looks AWESOME!!!

They take CR2032 and have 11 settings. I just picked mine up yesterday and I'm very impressed with the quality. I actually got to see it compared to the burris and Trijicon TR24 and have to say that for the price you absolutely can't go wrong with this scope. The nice thing about the illumination is that it pops whenever you have a target that is dark and the black reticle is super crisp on anything that is light. I plan on going shooting with it tomorrow and I'll have a range report as well. I'd have to say buy em before they are out of stock because once more people get them in hand and the word gets around you probably won't have much time

Just when I was satisfied with the previous optics that you provided to me(M4 + 5x magnifier), you bring out two more that would be great additions to my collection! Before I think about purchasing one of these new optics, any word about when you might have accessories for the M4 optics that you sell????????

It costs $100 less and doesnt have a lifetime warranty. Just one year.

Ive already ordered mine from you but how large are the componets of the reticle? I was looking for something like the dot size is say 1 moa, the thin part is 1/2 moa and the thick part is 4 moa on 1x or 4x at 100 yds. If i get mine before you have a chance to look at it ill try to make some measurments and post them.

I recieved my PA 1-4x scope and AR mount yesterday. Thanks again Marshall for the excellent service and fast shipping! It's installed and reaady to be zero'd next visit to the range. This is my first scope so I can't draw any comparisons but I am pretty impressed with the glass and the build quality so far. The mount seems solid as well. I'm expecting good things given my positive experience with the PA M4 red dot sight so far. I really like the reticle! Range report to follow soon.

If your refering to my post that may not be correct. I was just giving an example. Once mine arrives ill try to get it mounted and to the range this weekend and get some measurments. If all goes well i plan to make measurments at 1,2,3 and 4x.

I just got mine in. I'm pretty happy with it. You can't see the red dot if your in bright light, but it shows up when its dark, so it should be their when you need it.
ETA: Thanks for the new hat with the order. My wife has already claimed it, lol. |

I received my 1-4 today. Initial impressions say that this is an amazingly high quality scope for the money!
There is some heft to the scope, clearly it's built from some solid components, compared to the similar priced products you'd find on the market and even some with higher magnification in a similar price range, this scope feels heavy. Not heavy in a bad way, but heavy in a "this thing won't break" kind of way. The optics are very clear, the reticle was executed very well. The illumination is not super bright but I have a fresh battery I'm going to test in it to see if there is an improvement. Many of the manufactures in China purchase very large stocks of the batteries and use the oldest first so a fresh battery might improve the lighting. The zoom adjustment range is pretty large, so you can vary you level of zoom easily. The adjustment for the rear eye piece is nicely formed, allowing easy adjustment without having to grasp the entire eye peiece and turn. Clicks feel solid on the turrents. any illuminated reticle pictures?
i am having a hard time deciding between the DMS-1 and this. i know that the reticle, cost, and warrenty are different, but have another question. i have heard that to adjust the zoom on the DMS, the entire rear portion rotates; different then a normal Nikon, Leupold, etc with a rotating ring. Can anyone validate this and is the PA 1-4 the same way? |
