We have new A1 triangle carbine handguards patterned like the original Colt Model 607. Kit comes complete with a set of A1 handguards, heat sheilds and a .750 triangle handguard cap. You must be able to remove the flash hider and front sight to install these. The round handguard cap must be replaced with the triangle model.

That's pretty sweet, even for a non-retro build, and priced right at $30.
Do you have any pics of them on a non 607 rifle? |
|
Are these new production, then? I notice they don't have a rear handguard cap.

PK,
Any chance there may be a second version of these with the front either slotted or somehow designed to work witha standard round handguard cap? Kind of like the M16A2 roudn handguard front end... I love shorty carbine triangle look, but it woudl be nice to be able to swap from round to triangle and back to round with pulling the frontsight base every time. |
|
Those look great!
Taking advantage of circle cap will be a surefire buy for me! |
|
Sweet! That is all I needed to hear, and I will buy the first set from you when they are ready. |

My triangle carbine handguards use the rear triangle retainer, which doesn't "index" on anything, and of course they're loose like a goose. Do you guys think that a set of PK's new guards will take away the sloppy rattle? I'd hate to get them, struggle to install them and find out that they move around. Has anybody installed a set yet? How is it?

I have a set of these handguard, but one small problem. I am installing them on a 9mm carbine and it has a 5/8 barrel and the end cap that come with the set has a 3/4" hole.
The handguard are nice and fit good, now I just have to find a cap with a 5/8 hole. update. I orderd a cap with a 5/8 hole from Specialized Armament Warehouse. |
|
I think an Old SP1 handguard cap should do the trick. |
|
|
Are these new and not cut down?
Is the triangle cap the correct size for a super lite barrel? Thanks |
|
I agree. I'm in for a set in midlength if you'll make them. |
|
|
I ordered mine and received them in one day.
Very nice handgaurds , I thought I would never find a set. As always PK is A+++. |

I'd take a set of those too |

I'd love to see a set on a carbine with a Vltor or LMT SOPMOD stock...
|
|
I got mine yesterday. They look great. Now...if only you offered them in OD green...

Got my handguards in today and installed it tonight, no problems has a good tight fit.
I’ve wanted this since getting rid of my old sp1 many years ago; just like the feel and look. Shot with FinePix S602 ZOOM |

Any chance of Olive drab?
I need it for a build I'm doing with a Cav Arms lower. |
|
How can I chop mine down to middy length and make it work?
I'm in for middy hand guards if you can either a) sell them or b) tell me how to make them. |

Hey thanks 7.5" White Oak Ultra match with the windage adjustable front site they offer. I took the hand guard cap from Pk and opened it up to just clear the KX3 flange. The KX3 is threaded on and it hold the handguard cap in place. I then made a bushing to put on the barrel and re installed the KX3 and it tightened up perfectly, Rock set it and there she is. A fire breathing ultra-match shorty. LOL I love the thing |

somebody has to get on board with midlength ones........or tell me how to make them..
