i built alot of battle worn clones of guns i handled over there that i took pics of in police armories and in the wild. ive now passed on at least 2 uppers like that at shows where guys took pre ban m16a1s and chopped em. never did build one yet and for no particular reason. ive only seen that particular format in pics but its common in pics online years ago. never seen one in person over there.

I've got all the parts to clone a Gen 1, I just need to assemble it.
I'd like to do a Gen 2, but the DPMS tri rail upper has been impossible to find. Great writeup on Reddit with a parts list. |

I have one of those old Tasco rubber armored scopes.
I need to keep a close eye on it so it doesn't grow into a clone of one of these |

I can see me doing a clone of one of these in the near future.
Referencing the first/top picture. The gas block appears to be standard FSB just milled down. Going to shop eBay for similar free float handguard. |

Bushmaster used to have a 24" Match barrel with FSB.
Almost bought one 20 years ago. |
