I tried to find some info on them but we seem to be lacking any kind of database like that.

I'm curious what mags would have been most prevalent in late 1966-early 1967 as far as markings and all that.
Curious about the 20's and 30's if they had them.

I know some were marked 223 and some 556 but that's the extent of my knowledge.

It would be all 20's - as the CC 30's were never issued, only stateside family and self bought ones were sent in.

The majority of mags in 66-67 would of been the Colt 223 marked floorplate that had the number 1 inside a circle on the side near the bottom of the mag. There were still some waffle and ArmaLite 20rd mags floating around in 66-67. Unless you have deep pockets I'd go for the Colt 223 circle 1 mags that can go for $25-$50 depending on condition and the seller knowing what he has.
