I can't say much as I am trying to avoid a COC violation, but I just got my shop wired up :)  That is all. Carry on.

This makes me almost as happy as reasonably priced 601 furniture.  Congratulations Tom!  Glad to hear it.

What am I excited about?

Reminds me - I need to get on with making up the new wiring in my kitchen. I'm an electrician so it's hard for me to get excited about it, but I really need to finish it.

You're excited because one of the founding fathers of our retro movement is getting his shop up and running again, after not having one for several years.

I wasn't being disrespectful, it was more wondering who was going to get more of my money for what this time

Sorry if it didn't come off that way.

Well I guess if I told you  I would be advertising and would need to pay this site for that privilege.  While I enjoy this site and think it's great for the community as a whole, I cannot stomach the price of an industry membership for something that is mostly a hobby anyway. Something that has clearly proven to me to not be a profitable venture. I can say that for the most part I will not be making retro parts for retail sale, my target market is at a wholesale level I think. But like I was saying, I think I need to be careful in how much I say here as I don't want to run afoul of the management on this site.

As for the fellow who called me a founding father of the retro movement, heh, that's kinda entertaining :) All I did was try to make a buttstock and some NFA toys. You guys just told me what else to make!

Well, lets put it this way Tom, it was an article about your 607 work in (I think) SWAT magazine that got me interested in retros. You're responsible for infecting me with RBRD, and making me realize I really wanted something that I didn't even know existed before.

Woohoo !!!

I hope that wiring is for more than just AR's...

Like I said, I was wondering who was going to take more of my money for something that I really didn't need anyway...like the 601 grips and right hand guard when I'm not building a 601

So what should I be saving up for?

I had been collecting retro AR stuff when it wasn't retro; It's just all I ever knew.   One day I stumbled on the TS website and saw the 607 which I never knew existed.
Month's went buy and I thought the 607 was the ugliest cheap POS I'd seen in years.

I dunno....one day I had to have another look at it.  It just was stuck in my head like a bad song or a beautiful girl.  But I couldn't remember the the website, or name of the stock, or anything.  Of course now I really wanted one since I couldn't find it.

The search hits landed me here in the retro forum.

So after that cool story.....Thanks Tom.  I've been here 5 years daily thanks to you and that damn 607 stock.  I hope you bring'em back.

Ah...see, now I know why I'm kind of excited. He's the TS 607 stock guy. I knew there was a reason why.

was the 607 guy, tom sold the business and edwin owns TSI now.

but the machinist in him needs an outlet and here in retroland, we seem to love it when new products/offerings come along.
