It was suggested that I post in here as well... (Admins: Should I delete one of these posts?)

Basically, I've got an unidentified upper, and a Colt hbar. I have someone at work who is interested in this, but I'm not really sure what to sell it for. What kind of upper do you think this is?...and what do you think it's all worth?

The upper appears to be an aftermarket C7 A1 style Anchor Harvey forging.  More than likely Bushmaster or DPMS.  All the Colt ones I've seen have the C stamped before the A.

I agree, looks like a mutt.  Aftermarket upper, Colt barrel.  I don't think HBAR A1 uppers appeared in nature either.

The DPMS would be Teflon coated while the bushmaster is straight anodized with a baked on anti friction coating on the inside.

That would make a lot of sense since the lower that this was attached to, is a older model DPMS. Any thoughts on what you might think the whole upper package might be worth?

We're really not allowed to discuss values in this forum, unlike some others.  However, there is a tacked appraisal thread you can post to.
