What a fascinating modern age we live in...

Incidentally, if anyone wants to follow the book's advice and upgrade, I'll gladly swap you a brand new FSN 1005-937-3078 for your crummy old FSN 1005-992-6658.

They've worked fine so far...

I'm still trying to find a scan of the comic where it explains that the old "waffle mags" are bad, and need to be swapped-out for the new-style!

The really funny thing is that I had 10 of those waffles at one time that I only paid $15 a piece for . This was a long time before retro was a hobby trust me on that.

I here the term "Field Fix" used a lot.  The Black Rifle book uses the term field fix whilst describing certain parts, such as the "improved" Firing Pins.
I know what a field fix is, but does anyone know what the official protocol was for parts swapped out in the field ?  Were they destroyed on the spot, sent home by the armorers, or simply just thrown in the trash?

I wasn't aware that the Edgewater buffer had fiber washers inside it, or hydraulic fluid, for that matter...

Yeah, the hyd fluid statement has me curious also.  Anyone able to shed any light on this?
