I have been seeing these M-7 Eickhorn bayonets..........would these be considered retro and go with an M-16A1 clone? Or should I stick with a regular M-7?

Eickhorn were not US issue.  Check here for additional information on US bayonets - http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/humes_m7_03.htm

Original US issue are not hard to find.  They should be around the $35 mark with scabbard.

+1 on that.    My hand slipped while cleaning the corrosion off the blade, but the edge was still sharp enough to take a nice slice out of my finger.
